Rare orange seaglass encased and set into Argentium Silver setting to create this organic design that glows brightly with suns ray and grows deepens with intense fire as the sun burns at sunset.
Often considered the rarest color of all, orange sea glass most likely originated from decorative tableware or unique art pieces. It was created by adding the chemical element cadmium, together with selenium, to produce shades of orange. Silver compounds can also result in orange glass. The orange glass was also used on warning lights of boats and on lanterns before the days of gas and electricity.
Shown here is a size 7. This is a rare and small batch item. I currently have just a few in stock, therefore, I will make each piece custom as orders arrive. Each piece will vary allowing me the artistic freedom to design each one depending on the shape of the glass. Only the size request will be accepted.
